At the heart of the J. Edgar Hoover FBI Building—one of the most secure facilities in the country—is a team of 53 custodial professionals led by Melwood Enterprises Project Manager Mehalon. Under Mehalon’s leadership, this dedicated team, composed primarily of individuals with disabilities, cleans more than 1.2 million square feet of space, all while supporting the mission-critical work of the FBI to protect the American people and uphold the Constitution.

Mehalon, who has served in this role for five years, brings a wealth of experience in hospitality management and healthcare operations to his work with Melwood Enterprises. In addition to keeping spaces clean for FBI agents and support staff, the team is also tasked with cleaning an indoor gun range and a medical station that can quickly become a trauma care unit in the event of an emergency.
