Shawn McKee serves as Melwood Enterprises’ Senior Vice President of Total Facilities Management, overseeing the organization’s portfolio of TFM contracts and leading longterm facilities planning and major capital projects. 

He brings more than 20 years of senior leadership experience overseeing mission critical facilities, infrastructure, and capital programs across large, complex portfolios. Prior to joining Melwood, Shawn served as a Senior Executive with the U.S. Department of State, leading global facilities operations and construction programs across more than 270 locations worldwide. His background also includes senior roles with the U.S. Secret Service and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. 

Shawn previously worked with Melwood as the Contracting Officer’s Representative at the JJ Rowley Training Center, giving him a direct understanding of Melwood’s customers and mission. He is also personally connected to disability inclusion through his family’s decadelong involvement with GiGi’s Playhouse in Annapolis. 

Shawn earned his Master of Science in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in structural engineering, and his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. Shawn is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Maryland.
